A very nice small restaurant. While I was here I got the Bacon Jam Burger and fries. The fries were phenomenal, maybe just a little over salted. The burger was great as well and was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing and the atmosphere is nice. I might have to check this place out again. I got some ice cream for dessert and the total came out to about 20 and change for one (after tax before tip). So it's not a bad deal either. Would recommend!
I had the double cut pork chop once and it was not as good as it usually is. I’ve had all the other food there a hundred other times and it was amazing. The one time I had a not-great-meal there really made me appreciate how amazing it’s been every other time. Oh ya...this time the food was not great because the head chef was training in a new person aspiring to be great. So I’m all for growth and passing on excellence. We love kings house.
I can't rate the service and atmosphere since my friend picked up takeout for us, but wow, their food is delicious (Ricotta appetizer, Apple and mixed greens salad, and Rueben & fries)! I first visited The King House not long after they opened I believe, I went with a small group of friends for dinner, and I remember it being so good that I planned to go again soon! Time has obviously passed and I don't live real close, but this takeout meal reminded me again why I need to get back to The King House!
The food was phenomenal. Especially for small town Delano. Pure flavors. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be back. Tip for ownership. The truffle oil Parmesan fry side would be over the top incredible if served with garlic aioli. Just my preference.
I walked over to The King’s House for lunch while getting my motorcycle tuned up at Davis Motorsports just down the street. I got one of their specials, the taco salad with chicken. It was among the best taco salads I’ve had. I especially enjoyed the burst of flavor from the fresh cherry tomatoes generously embedded in the salad. The shell is clearly home made, as is the unique sauce. The seasoning and herbs on the chicken were also perfect. Everything was very fresh. The presentation was excellent. Their ice tea is clearly brewed fresh too. I went ahead and had a mojito for desert and found it well crafted and refreshing on a July afternoon. My server was professional and personable. The place wasn’t very busy at lunch time. But I got the impression their busy time is evenings. Tables are nicely spaced. They have outdoor dining. Ample free parking in their dedicated lot. I enjoyed their playlist as I ate - a diverse mix of mostly alternative soft rock. I was pleased that they didn’t have any distracting TVs in the restaurant. Everything is accessible to wheelchairs.
My husband and I love this restaurant. We have been here to eat for lunch and dinner, every season of the year and have never been disappointed. The chef is wonderful; creating unique flavors, food combinations and sauces. The portions are perfect and the service is wonderful!
The King House is a go to for us. It's great for a date night, special occasions, and regular going out to eat. I have never had a bad meal or service, everyone working there is 10/10. My favorite meal is the flat iron steak (rare). We also love the warm spiced cake for dessert! If you get those two you will not be disappointed!
This was some of the best food!! From the chicken nacho appetizer. Italian sausage pasta dish (homemade pasta and sausage). Chocolate cake also made from scratch in the restaurant. With some of the sweetest and largest raspberry on the side. I will definitely be eating here again. If you go, make reservations, it does gets very busy.
